Of Grocery Road
Where colors they ebb,
And feelings they flow
It's such a dark place, though
Where nobody knows
To withstand the doe
In the heart of the road
Blind to the tumult
Of venomous vehicles
And luminous confessionals
Line the lane
Unspeakable chapels
And bookshops full of
Spiral bound bibles
We're not in control of
What we believe
Unreasonable priorities
Are these
You don't trust me?
Only scripture's around
So it can be shown,
There's no food to be found
On Grocery Road.
